What is Growing Timothys?
Growing Timothys is an initiative from IVP. It is an innovative mission-support scheme to donate books that help to resource new generations of church and mission leaders in Africa and across the majority world.
An amount equivalent to 20% of the retail value of all purchases through local Growing Timothys retailers and via the IVP websites will be allocated to a fund to provide a selection of relevant IVP books free of charge for this purpose. This means that for every £100 spent in these ways, books to a value of £20 will be allocated to Growing Timothys. So buying through these outlets helps to place much-needed resources into the hands of church leaders in some of the neediest areas of the world – many where the church is growing in amazingly vibrant ways.
This is being done in partnership with various mission organisations to distribute these books to individuals, church leaders and leaders-in-training outside of the western world i.e. across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe. In this way much-needed resources will be placed into the hands of new generations of church and mission leaders across some of the poorest parts of the global church.
